National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) – All Levels

Winter 2017/2018 Course Description

This in-classroom course is designed to meet the National Components of the 2016 National Continued Competency Program. Upon successful completion of the full course, students will receive a course completion certificate. Students attending individual modules will receive a copy of the respective roster(s) for each module taken.

The National Competency Component requires all EMTs to obtain 20 hours — in addition to 10 hours under ‘Local’ and 10 hours under ‘Individual’ of continuing education (40 hours total).

The National Competency Component requires all Advanced EMTs to obtain 25 hours — in addition to 12.5 hours under ‘Local’ and 12.5 hours under ‘Individual’ of continuing education (50 hours total).

The National Competency Component requires all Paramedics to obtain 30 hours — in addition to 15 hours under ‘Local’ and 15 hours under ‘Individual’ of continuing education (60 hours total).

Although this course uses the 2016 Paramedic National Competency Component, it has been approved by the Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services for the following levels: *EMT, **AEMT, and +Paramedic.

*The course will fulfill the required 20 hour EMT NCCR, however you must attend the entire program.

**The course will fulfill the required 25 hour AEMT NCCR, however you must attend the entire program.

+The course will fulfill the required 30 hour Paramedic NCCR, however you must attend the entire program.

Prerequisites:

Current EMR, EMT, Advanced, or Paramedic certification. This course is approved for ALL levels.

  • Saturday, December 16, 2018 – 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Sunday, December 17, 2018: – 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Saturday, January 13, 2018: – 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Sunday, January 14, 2018: – 8 AM – 5 PM

(Total hours: 36 – must accommodate lunch and break periods)

Cost:

Full course: $100 

Individual modules: $5 per credit hour
